As the population of Colorado Springs grows and development continues to move north, Southeast Colorado Springs is left dilapidated and facing disparities much deeper than what the eye can see. Southeast Colorado Springs has higher rates of poverty, heart disease, and asthma and lower rates of investment, opportunity and even life expectancy. Daily Dose 719 is a platform that explores the social determinants of health as defined by El Paso County Health with a focus on how residents of Southeast Colorado Springs work towards addressing the health disparities that plague the community.

Daily Dose 719 was launch through a collaborative effort with RISE | Southeast and the Colorado Equity Compass. In an effort to improve health outcomes across Colorado, daily dose 719 will use history and data to tell the story of the Southeast Community.
